Description

United Kingdom -Infographic about the Afircan Wildasses species.
I realized this work for Equsmanía and ANACA. The idea was to sumarize all the basic info about these wildasses species, mostly because it's really hard to study. Basically, the map has to show a picture of every of these species, the general info and the (original) distribution. Also, this allowed me to work new tools with Illustrator.
The info is in Spanish, so here is the translation...

Antlatic or Argelian Wildass
(Equus Africanus Atlanticus)
  • The westerst species.
  • This species become extinted back the Roman Empire.
  • It had stripes on the legs and the Saint Andrew Cross over the shoulders both, unlike the other species. However, some domestic breeds also has those.

Somalian Wildass.
(Equus Africanus Somaliaensis)
  • This species remains in the wild in a low rate. There are around 200 individuals in zoos and dens.
  • Sometimes, it's thought to be the ancestor of hairy domestic breeds.
  • It lacks of Saint Andrew Cross over the shoulders, except for some fading mark. It has stripped legs.
  • Even if every individual is different, it tends to be a little strong buldied.

Nobian Wildass
(Equus Africanus Africanus).
  • It's thought to be extint in the wild, but I've found some photos here and there.
  • It's the ancestor of domestic breeds.
  • Its legs are plain, but it has Saint Andrew Cross over the shoulders, as many domestic breeds.
  • It's a little lighter than Somalian Ass.

I hope it helps.
