Guiverno

"Guiverno" is the Spanish word for Wyvern, although it's a hardly used work in my native tongue. Anyway, I wanted to draw dragons or something like that since a while, and I also wanted to play with realistic biologic proportions and colors.... So this is the result. The Guiverno looks like some short of reptilian prey bird with horns (I've a thing for putting horns to dragon-like creatures, even if they're just an ornament), and my lighting of choice was a sun-raise. To be honest, getting the right colors has been the hardest part, yet what makes the result that colourful; and the most tedious part has been drawing the hell of leaves on the botton.

Guiverno es la palabra que deberíamos usar los hispanohablantes para referirnos a los Wyvern, porque es impresionante lo bien que se olvida nuestro término. De cualquier manera, hacía tiempo que quería dibujar algo sobre dragones pero dándole unas proporciones realistas desde un punto de vista biológico... Y este es el resultado. Básicamente el Guiverno es un ave de presa reptiliana y con cuernos (me gusta ponerles cuernos a los dragones, aunque sea sólo un adorno). El escenario elegido es un amanecer, lo que me ha dado bastantes dolores de cabeza con el color, si bien lo más entretenido ha sido dibujar todas esas hojitas en la parte de abajo.
Pero me gusta cómo me ha quedado!
