Marte Planeta de la Guerra

Bueno, aquí va otro original. Se trata de mi entrada para el concurso internacional organizado por JotDown sobre el planeta Marte. En principio iba a ser mostrado entre el 10 y 13 de Septiembre en la Feria de Marte en la ciudad de Castellón (Comunidad Valenciana, España). La temática era libre, siempre y cuando tuviera que ver con Marte, así que escogí una vista general del planeta, con sus dos satélites, Fobos y  Deimos, una sonda espacial enviada a investigar... y el toque mágico de la ilustración, el dios Marte de la mitología greco-romana, de espaldas e intuyendo la visita; es por eso que en lugar del típico guerrero griego, lo puse ataviado como un centurión romano. En cuanto al aspecto, intenté que se pareciera un tanto a los carteles publicitarios de los años 20-30, de ahí la textura.

El concurso terminó hará dos semanas, y al parecer no ha habido un claro ganador ni los demás trabajos (250 en total) han sido expuestos en ninguna galería. En fin.

So here is it a new origina piece of mine. I drew this for a contest about the planet Mars; it was organized by JotWown and it was about to be exposed on 10th to 13th September at Mars Event on Castellon city (Spain). The theme was free along it involved outer space investigation and Mars. Therefore I choiced a myth angle for my pic: Mars as the war god in Roman mythology, with the two satelits Phobos and Deimos, and an artifitial satelit that catchs Mars' attention. Since I portrayed Mars as the war god, my looks of choice was an accident Roman centurion. Finally, the poster's looks tries to be something like the posters back of 20's/30's on XX-century.

It seems there isn't a winner for the contest, and I haven't seen the other submissions, but here is the mine anyway.
